I have a black 6.5" kW shield and I like it. I've been thinking of going to an 8.5" as I'm 6' tall. I would do $120 if your intrested, that way you could resale it for the same money if it didn't work for ya.

[QUOTE=!_gofasterok;13136294]..dugan What is LRS & your reason you switched over to then?[/QUOTE
LRS is Long Ride Shields. Re: Klock Werks, I couldn't get past the melted shield look, I put Yaffe MBB on and wasn't comfortable how close the KW lines came to the bars. Also I think more air came to my passenger due to the way the KW is shaped. I gave it to my brother and it didn't last long with him either. LRS offers many sizes, so looks and function won. And last I heard, Carlisle Bike Fest is no longer existent.

I'm 5'10" and have a 6.5 KW. I like the shield, and just look over top of it. When cresting hills I have to look through it, which sucks, but the wind protection is much better than stock.

I'm 5'7" and switched from the 7" wind splitter to a Klockwerks. The 6 1/2" was comparable to the wind splitter IMO. I opted for the 8 1/2 dark smoke. I too found my self having to look through it but it worked great. I pulled it off that night and drilled 3 new holes 1" higher, lowering it 1" and remounted it. It still works great and I can see the cars plates in front of me instead of the 3rd or 4th car. Yes I was skeptical about drilling holes in my new windshield but it turned out great.

Did you cut the bottom inch off the shield or just drill the additional holes and slide the shield further down into the fairing? I'm 6' and the shield works fantastic but just annoys me because of where it sets in my sight line compared to the 7". I know it had to be annoying to you at 5'7"...lol
