Another great company for engine kits are NRHS Performance in Colorado. Dan is a great guy to deal withand they build some awesome engine packages and performance heads for Harleys. Steve at GMR is also a great guy and you can't go wrong with either of these builders. Here are links to their sites.

Daytona Twin Tec...is an ECM ..the WEGO II is a Alpha N autotune unit that interfaces with the DTT and has O2 sensors in each pipe ...it will automatically tune your bike no matter what mods you do...no more guys named scratch or hillbilly...no more 300 dollar tunes that aint perfect...its easy to install and i wish'd i'd bought one in the beggining

OK...aside from UltraK pissin himself over there tell me this. Did you install the DTT yourself and did you have a bunch of wire terminations to changeout on the stock harness? I have seen this requirement on Sporties and don't know about the setupon BT's yet? I am assuming what what you've stated that it's sort of plug and play with regards to the wiring harness and connectors?

I am going through an install now on my 07 Ultra, and there are a couple of wire changes to be made, and additional setup so the 6th gear light indicator functions properly. I am still acouple of weeks away probably from firing it up due to work, and weather, but dont think it is going to be too bad. I am relying on Phil, Bryan, Bart and a few others here on the forum to bail me out if I make a left turn somewhere during the set up and need help.

phil let me watch as he added two wires to the batch...he split the gray wire plug, each hole had a #, the directions tell you what # to plug the wire into and there were two...easy....install was takin the old ecm off and puttin on the DTT unit, addin the two wires, runnin the cables on the WEGO(one under the tank to the front and the other to the back)...then zero'n out the O2 sensors with the WEGO unit(very easy)...then loadin the CD of the DTT into your laptop and figgur'n the basic settings(mostly easy but the tire size and injector size matter)...then the hardest part was zero'n the IAC to the TPS, wasnt that hard but had to slot the mount holes on the TPS and use the computer/software to zero it...after that, run it and let it tune...then load the new into the bike, run it again...then go ride it and keep reloadin it after each ride...by the 5th time on mine it was gittin good ...far better'n any tuner i've been to could do an i got the satisfaction of doin it and learnin it....PLUS, i aint got no scratch or hillbilly here in ft worth

i think you only add wires on 06 models

Good to know and thanks for the info. I have to confirm availability on a few items from Bart, but by the sounds of it i'll be going with a DTT for this bike. I am also looking at another bike with a Patrick Racing motor in it as my brother in law just opened a new Von Dutchdealership up here and plan on a second bike to replace my hotrod Sporty. He has one build that has a Patrick Racing 125" motor in it that makes some serious power (138 RWHP) and is coupled with a Baker 6 speed. If I can't dial the pricein on it, then i'll likely introduce a Jims 120" or Patrick 125" into this Glide next winter. In either case, a DTT looks like a wise investment. Thanks!
