I have a 1990 EG owned from new with an S&S 107 motor with rather more miles on it. A great bike, as you would expect me to say! The 111 is successor to the 107, so more recent than my 2008 engine. You should get just over 100HP/100TQ with that engine, significantly more than from the '02. After that it's down to appearance, general condition, etc.
Neither one you deserve a hell of a lot better. The first one is too old,
and the second one is too ugly, but this is only my opinion. Now opinions
are like *** Holes, every body has one, and they usually stink like ****.
I'll skip the stuff about getting a newer bike as you are obviously looking for something in that price range.
Tough call but I think I'd lean towards the one with the newer S&S motor in it.
Obviously the guy was sinking some money into it and likely reached the point that he no longer wanted to do that and is either bailing out altogether of getting together a good down payment for a new/newer bike. But is it a runner being that it needs a primary chain so you can at least give it a spin around the block?
