The Nuvi units are not waterproof, so keep that in mind. A non-waterproof GPS on a motorcycle just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me unless you never ride your scoot in the rain.
The Zumo 550 or the Garmin 2820 are probably the best two going at this point in time.
Ordered my Zumo 550 today. Have a Quest and like it a lot, but I neededmaps pre-loaded and more memory due to taking multi - state trips.Ordered the Quest II but it was tooooooooo slow--sent it back and got credit toward the Zumo.
By the way what mount for your Nuvi did you get off of eBay? Can you send me the link. I want to find out if I need to kick myself for ordering the other one that I did a few days ago.
Having a non waterproof GPS on a bike is just asking for problems...even if you puta baggie over it everytime you hit rain on the road, the unit will get condensation in it just from being exposed to the environment on a bike and temperature variations. Get a waterproof unit...
Zumo is IPF7 which is waterproof at one meter for 30 minutes thats under water fresh or salt for you now divers
Nuvi is IFP0 which means any water will murder it.
