Battery tender will help prolong battery life but after three or four years any stock battery will start to ie "Age " IMO better to replace the early than get stuck somewhere !!!
You can get a battery made by Deka at Advance Auto Parts. Order it on line with this code TRT41 and it will end up costing the same as any battery you buy on line.
Use code TRT41 for $40 off (online only) and when you bring back your old battery it will cost you $100 plus tax.
These used to be called MagnaPower but looks like they are Autocraft now. Old version was made by Deka so would suspect these ones are as well. Good battery and 400cca. Made a huge difference starting on my Ultra.
The fitment guide on the Advance website is wrong for these bikes. If you say you want an Ultra battery it comes up as an ETX20L but you want the ETX30L which is the one in the link above.
bought the Duralast Gold/ Powersport battery from Auto Zone last week. AGM made by Deka. Cost $89 but with Auto Z0ne $15 coupon final cost was $74 plus tax .....
This replaced the HD AGM battery also made by Deka that I used for 26K miles. Starts like a champ and for that price, I'm a happy camper .... the same HD branded battery was quoted at $124.
