Default Spacer Needed for Stock Classic Mirrors on a Street Glide?

Just put taller bars on and ordered the classic/ultra stock mirrors for the handlebar clutch/brake mounts. The acorn nut tightened all the way doesn't tighten the mirrors onto the mounts.... Service manual says nothing about spacers being needed. Are the mounts on a SG Different than the other tourers?? Thanks in advance!

Should be the same...

Couple of stainless washers wouldn't hurt.

I agree with Safetyman...I did the same thing on my SG...almost, that is, I used the classic round ones, but the mounts should be the same...no problem...you didn't indicate how much slack there was, but I do believe that the kits came with a flat chrome washer for either side of the mounts...if the slack is only a small amount and you didn't use 'em...use 'em...if you did, and there's still a little slack, then use a couple of more...

no washers other than the tooth washer for each side. Went to my favorite hardware store and picked up some chrome spacers. The gap is minor but it would have been filled with the 2 washers Veekness mentioned..... Or I missed them in the package. Something like that has NEVER happened to me before..... ;-)

or on tall bars, sometimes the way to go is to undermount the mirrors.

which ever lets you see past your elbows.
