I'm indifferent on the vent design. I can take it or leave it. But the fairing itself looks good.
From what I can tell, the vents look like they are just that. Will the vent design reduce or eliminate any buffeting? Will the vent door have detents for partial open settings instead of fully open or fully close?
I've been looking into a fairing for my RK for awhile now and I'd be willing to test.

Yes, our plan is to have a multiple side door for the vent. This way, you can open it all the way, 3/4 of the way, 1/2 way or 1/4 way. And, we'll make it so it slides left to right or right to left and it will click into place with each setting. Should be a simple, but effective design. The vent will definitely help eliminate any negative pressure which helps to cause buffeting issues.
I like the fairing. I would be interested in one without the vent that is a simple replacement for standard batwings.
Looks like you have great lines on it, more pronouced headlight brow, side lines, etc.
There are a ton of us that dislike the new plain looking 2014+ inner fairing setup and love our older inner fairing setup but would also like to update the outside look a little..
Would be great to be able to just replace our outers with something a little more updated looking.
I emailed LRS with the idea I have for tourin fairings. On mine I removed the mirrors to go to handlebar mirrors because of putting on 12" HD mini apes.
My thought is if you did a two slot setup in either a kit or offering the whole outer fairing you could run a duct from the center to either side and they come out in a hole where the mirror mounts are now. Then you could add a cover door over the front of the ducts with maybe like a push lever that could come out in the gauge radio area that pushed forward would open the door and pulled back would close it for bad weather times or whatever. Plus for those of us without fairing mirrors have some kind of nice inner cover over the holes would make that space look a lot better. Or not.
I actually think an added air flow on the right and left side towards the rider would be nice but I am curious if like the new rushmore fairings if it would reduce buffeting on the helmet. Or would it just be a fancy setup that doesnt really do much of any use.
