I have a 14 King and I would consider one if it would fit the existing windshield mounts.
I would not want a radio, just the mounting brackets.
Please up-date when you can.
Love the lines. Hopefully you'll have a nice system to go with it. Then I can get the whole package from you. If not, I would still take that fairing... Will it fit a 99 rk classic?
Yes, our plan is to have a multiple side door for the vent. This way, you can open it all the way, 3/4 of the way, 1/2 way or 1/4 way. And, we'll make it so it slides left to right or right to left and it will click into place with each setting. Should be a simple, but effective design. The vent will definitely help eliminate any negative pressure which helps to cause buffeting issues.
This sounds great. Again, if you need a tester, I'm in.

There are many here who like this idea. Possibly an optional feature?

Will a 'plain-jane' inner fairing be available? Possibly a smooth inner with no cutouts for accessories?
Not for me I am sure a lot like the less buffeting from the 14 mail slot, when I pass one its the first thing I notice. On yours the first thing I notice is all the gaps and edges around the holes and ridges in the shell, which would take a hose to flush out the bugs that I get plastered with. The shell is the easiest part to clean even peppered with bug guts because it is a smooth surface. I and others don't use water to clean just other products. If the black holes were all molded into the ridges of the shell it would be a different story and look better IMO. Also the nice thing about the aftermarket fairing is all the room to install bigger amps and more. It looks like yours going to take away some of that room. I have several of your shields. you asked for opinions, just my thoughts not hating
I could be wrong, but it looks to me that you're going for the hot rod shaker hood scoop or blower scoop look. Personally I don't think it translates. To me it's too busy and looks cheap. But I'm in the minority.
As a 14 SGS owner I will say I like the vent and for me the difference is very noticeable. Vent open - smooth air. Vent closed - added turbulence. That's with 3 different windshields. So it's a great idea to build a fairing that has some sort of air flow management. But personally, I think from a clean sheet of paper you can do better than aping the existing Moco product and adding holes and vanes.
Please take that as constructive criticism. I applaud your efforts and like your products. I just think you can do better than this particular design.
