Everything goes dead

06 road king 13000 miles at 60 mph everything including speedometer went dead it restarted miliseconds later and ran ok for a while then shut off I stopped pressed starter it started and drove home ok whats up?

or battery cable insulation rubbed thru, contacting ground on bumps...

or have any 100 watt light bulbs? they can burn up your ignition switch contacts = $$$
