There's 2 posts already for "bras", if you pack at all, you'll continue to get scratches. The first thing going on my new one are the lid bras I took off my wreck, they have 2 straps on top which you can stash inside when not in use, and secure tents, tube chairs and the like when you need to. Now that I won't have a Tourpak in the way! Summer festivals and concerts will be here soon, them chairs are mighty handy.
Agree with a few other posts. Get the lid covers. They install really easy and they will hide any scratches. I don't have any scratches on mine, but I can't tell you how many times I've kicked a lid getting on and off the bike and I probably would have done some damage had they not been on.
