Default Hitch - Remove or Keep?

I bought a used EGC that has a hitch and wiring harness. I was thinking about removing them both.

I will never pull a trailer on the bike.

Any other reason I should keep either the hitch or wiring harness?

Thanks!

i'd remove it.

too late now, but i won't consider a bike/car/truck with a hitch- it indicates that the previous owner may have used the machine beyond it's capabilities.

same as i look under the rear fender for signs of burn outs- i've caught that a couple of times.

careful that you remove the wiring in such a way that the factory wiring is unharmed ( if you get hung up, I'm in 85028)

welcome to the forums.

I'd remove and sell, ebay etc., make sure you will never want to use it before selling.

GM still sells the trailer package option at a multi-hundred dollar premium- even on models which with a 6 or small 8 may be marginal for towing power.

My Sierra is barely in this century- no hitch

I rather see the hitch than wonder what they over loaded on the bumper

I would save the hitch. Could be a selling feature for someone looking for a trailer-ready bike.
