I didn't notice any difference using it compared to any other synthetic.....there are many comparable oils that are easier to secure as well as less expensive. I believe it's the difficulty in finding a regular source that gives the illusion that the oil is excreted from the loins of a golden goose and therefore highly coveted. Spend your money on whatever you wish.
Awww c'mon oil threads are always fun. Like religion or politics everyone thinks theirs is the best.
Which is why I grabbed a beer and popcorn, so I could enjoy the show.
Myself, I DO run Amsoil in both the crankcase and primary, and am happy with it. And for the record, I run Spectro 75/140 in the tranny. But each to their own.
Run what makes you comfortable, any oil rated for the V twin will be fine if changed regularly. Now there is fodder for another subject as to what constitutes regularly.
my 2 cents --- I have used Amsoil for 30 plus years -- It is good oil
However, after a lot of reading, I decided to try Castrol RS V twin oil -- immediately I noticed a much more quiet engine after the oil change - -getting about time to do another change and I will use Castrol RS again -- I got it from Amazon
By the way I was so impressed I put the Castrol full synthetic in my truck - and a lifter noise I had for 50,000 miles went away after the change.
your results might be different-- I have been doing a lot of reading lately by some independent riders regarding the break down of oil -- these riders are not dealers for any brand but do test different brands of oils -- some of the results are eye opening.
