Been ridin the chit out of my new bike. How the hell do you make sure the fans are working? I remember a thread from long ago for the procedure to test em. Thanks guys. Just wanna make sure they are working, have not heard them come on yet.

With the ignition on but bike not running twist the throttle to full throttle and hold. The fans will turn on after around 5 seconds. Mine have only turned on on there own twice all summer. They only need to come on if you have been riding very slow in stop and go traffic or you leave the bike idling for an extended period as long as the is air flow thru the radiators they don't need to come on.
My wife and I were riding through a small town and stopped at a local park. Speed limit is a strictly enforced 25 MPH. When we stopped at that park, the fans were running when I shut the bike off and stayed on for probably 60 seconds or so. I was a little surprised. Bike is new and only has about 300 miles (dang rain). When I sit at a stop light in 85* weather the bike sounds like it shuts off one cylinder? Sound normal for a new bike? I looked at the coolant level and it seems fine. Love the new Limited but the water heads do make me a little nervous.
