Anyone ever use fix-a flat on your bike????
I used it on a tube tire years ago. It got me home. Just a mile and a half..
Yup. And it works ! Carry a can along with a small 12v compressor kit in one of my saddlebag guard bags. I do not pull the nail or screw until I get to a repair shop. In fact, I carry couple of pan head sheet metal screws for use as hole plugs. You'd be surprised how good they work.
short term is ok, but fix a flat will kill a tube.... also if you leave it in a tire to long it soaks into the rubber.... that will make it impossible to put a patch on the tire. ride on works very well. I use counteract balancing beads in my tire, I just don't like the liquid on my wheels.
I worked for this guy that would put water and newspapers in the loader tires along with some cotton *****...... it was suppose to stop leaks.... just gave me more to clean when I fixed it.
As for working well I'll let ya know if/when I pick up a nail or something lol.
Easy to fill, balances out fine. Having plugged my share of flats and not wanting to worry on a trip it was worth a shot and gets good reviews. I have roadside assistance too just in case but would rather not depend on a tow to a dealer anyway since most won't plug/patch a tire but rather will insist on replacing.
