There are a lot bigger displacement air cooled V Twins on the market that don't have this feature. I just think it's Harley trying to mask another problem. Personally, I always kept mine turned off.

I leave mine enabled but now that I think about it, I didn't hear it come on at all this year, after a new headpipe and tuner. Stock, it came on around 85-90 degrees when I was in traffic or not moving much. I think our summer wasn't quite as hot here in Louisville this year but I don't think EITMS engaged at all since the mods...

Just out of curiosity, why would you bother disabling it in the cooler weather? If it's not kicking in, why would you need it disabled? I leave mine on year round...

Leave mine on also , there to help cool the engine and or the rider , doesnt hurt anything . Figure if Harley put it there its for a reason , sure isnt hurting anything by using it .

I turned that **** off, it was always coming on down here. Great way to get a stumble if you got in a sticky spot.

I also leave mine disabled during normal riding and traffic. If I plan on riding a main street during a Bikefest, then I will enable it. Other than that, I keep it turned off.

Me too. Disabled. Bike sounds, smells, and runs like a piece of crap with it on.
Runs = meaning when it switches back n forth. Stays OFF.

I leave it enabled. Last year, it came on several times. This year, it didn't come on at all. This spring, I did a Stage 1 and put on XIEDs so that might have something to do with it.
