Default Lower fork legs!!

I have a 98 flht that I am rebuilding. I would like to use a set of the smooth fork sliders, but it seems they only make them for 2000 and up is the only difference the axle size?? I am going to be putting a new wheel on the bike anyway so it really won't matter anyhow

You can use newer legs (up to 2013) with a newer axle and a wheel with the proper size bearings. I have a customer who has a 99 and used 2008 or newer lower legs, calipers, axle, etc. He did lose his speedo as it was a mechanical speedo on the wheel.

If you have an electric speedo it will not make a difference. Or if you use the stock wheel it should work as well.

I am assembling the parts to convert my 1990 to Brembo calipers and have 2010 sliders. I also plan keeping my speedo drive, which I am assured can be done!
