Glad you're OK, gotta be a hairy moment when you realize you ain't getting past without swapping skin with a deer. Amazing how dangerous deer in residential areas can be to bikers but we keep building houses in their neck of the woods so we're bound to see em around. I suggest open season on the rascals, year round shooting from the seat. Be well.
Wow! That is one of the scariest pictures I have ever seen.
1st Glad to hear you are OK
2nd I hope you walked over and kicked that deer in the head
3rd Sorry about your bike
One of the scariest pictures you've seen? Wow you must live a sheltered life?
How is this the deers fault? I'm not a tree hugger by no means, but we have invaded their natural habitat but yet want to blame the deer? It's an accident pure and simple.
Seen bucks and nannies in the road during rut that would no get out of the way and had to drive around them. Why don't they cross at the crossing signs? When subsistence hunting was the way of life there were less deer. Eat them all fast. Glad you are OK.
Dayum! You are lucky (sort of). Could have been much much worse. That picture made me queasy. I'm seriously considering taking up bow hunting just to cull the herd.
'Cause it ran in front of the bike? They are the dumbest creatures, which makes them most dangerous and a big concern of mine in my area as well.
OP, I know many have responded similarly, but so glad you're okay. I can't believe you had the presence of mind to take that photo (assuming it was you) given the circumstances.
