all I'd suggest is:
have 2 axles, have brakes
my many years on the road I have seen all kinds of little trailers sideways, upside down etc etc.
95% of problems are related to loosing a tire or braking the tow vehicle and having the trailer come around.
the last one was an open trailer with 2 roadkings...I10 at 75 MPH. Lost the rt side tire, trailer dropped down onto rim.
driver braked hard and trailer turned sideways and one of the roadkings tipped over the side on it's straps ( which appeared to just pull the other bike over)
...and under the blowed tire.
the trailer then went up on it's side and dumped over on top of the 2nd roadking.
a 2nd axle and brakes would have allowed the driver to control the trailer and get off the road to install the spare.
