I can't believe this thing hasn't sold. I installed one end of last riding season. So smooth shifting and 1st gear clunk is almost eliminated. And you are worry free of having a over tighten primary chain.
Once you hit 20K you chain will have pretty much be as stretched as it's going to get. In your case I'd install it and check it at 14K & 20K. You can pull that primary cover very easily and the gasket is reusable. I think I set mine right in the middle of Baker's spec at 3/4 play. Remember the chain tightens up as it gets hotter.
