Modified rear brake lever
Story goes, I picked up what was marked a "07-16 touring" rear brake lever at a swap meet and then modified it to use a Flo Motorsports MX style shifter peg as a brake pedal.
Once I was done and went to install it, I realized that this is a newer shifter lever and that the bore diameter where the lever mounts to the stud is different. I was contemplating just chucking up some material and making a bushing to make up that bore difference but I found the correct brake lever locally for short cash to make a new one for myself. Please see the pictures below, the Flo motorsports parts are not included, this is just the brake lever, I am also including a couple pictures from when I made this. To be clear, there is no bondo or filler in this, I metal worked it to a clean finished and then applied primer, paint and clear. The finish is only the finest spray paint with clear that I polished to a decent finish. It looks awesome until you really get up on it at which point it will still make you say "wow that's spray paint" but not at all perfect. I am including the part number of the peg I was using for reference.
Note if you get the Flo Motorsports peg, you will have to source a slightly shorter fastener than what comes with the peg or I simply cut about an 1/8 off the end.
Original levers with flash rust or pealing CVO versions of these are listed for $30 plus on ebay, I think $25 plus the ride is fair to have something different than every other person out there.
