New Progressive 940 Series Shocks for Touring Models
Hey guys, we're new to this forum and would like to keep you up to date on new products coming out for your motorcycles. We decided to join and support this forum because so many of our customer's are members here. I haven't seen any posts on this product yet, so I'd like to take this time to introduce what we think is a cool new product, Progressive's new 940 series shock.
Specifically designed to deliver a comfortable ride at a 1" lowered stance. Built around our "Best in Class" IAS technology, The Ultra Touring shocks utilize all the suspension travel provided by these 13" eye to eye units, but provide a 1" lowered ride height. The unique Ultra Touring spring combination not only delivers a lowered ride height while its being ridden, but also while its on the side stand.
Welcome Phat. So is it my understanding that if you were to swap out the stock (already low) Street Glide shock that this wouldn't raise it any?
You are exactly right. The standard FLH models use 13" shocks, while the FLHX has 12" shocks. According to Progressive, these would not effect the FLHX's ride height.
Phat
What is the extra spring at the top portion of the shock used for?
It looks thin to do any good
thanks
Its called a compensation spring. Its there to help maintain travel of the shocks/spring. You can learn more information on how they work by clicking here
Hmmmm. They sit like a 12" shock but that light spring allows the shock to extend a full 13". Sounds good. One more thing to think about spending $$ on. They look good too.

Fits 1980-UP Harley Davidson Touring models.
I'm sure a lot of riders would like a high quality shock with standard length and ride height! I can't find any reference on their website to "IAS technology". What does this give us over other shocks?
