Just out of curiousity, what kind of stereo did you put in it's place if you don't mind me asking?
I have the stock HK radio/CD player....
That radio takes a lot of knocks but it is a great radio...There were some solder joint issues in some of them but aside from that which I had fixed the quality of the radio itself is fine....I personally wouldnt be too quick to yank it out "just because" .
No I prefer Hog Tunes and soon to be J and M but I kept the HK radio. I have Hog Tunes and you definitly need it I agree.
The radio does not distort...what distorts were the stock speakers that came with the bike.
Dont get me wrong I know there are better radios as far as putting out power, sensitivity, etc.....but what I'm saying is with hog tunes or J and M speakers and amp's the HK radio (for me) works just fine...I have no issues with this radio or CD player.
