Got a question from you on the Hammock seat. Do you know how it compares in seat height to the stock seat on a Ultra Classic?
I've had several people tell me it keeps you about the same height and some that say it makes you lower and some say it makes you higher. LOL
I just need a definite answer. :-) I'm short legged and can handle the stock seat height, but higher is not an option and I'm definitely in the market for a new seat.
Yep had my seat off a bunch. Never thought about asking HD shop to let me try one on for fit. Will do that.
I got a couple of rips in my seat from wear and from ill-placed boots when getting on. I'm gonna send this seat to Mean City to get it rebuilt and fixed up, but I gotta have another seat in the meantime. I've had the Hammock seat mentioned to me that it would be a great choice as an upgrade seat. I would definitely like to see how it fits and sits on my bike.
I know you are getting rid of yours, what are your thoughts?
I purchased the SE leather heated seat from a member on the forum; the seat is about one inch lower than the stock ultra seat; it is wider and flatter. you can move on the seat; it's a lot better than the ultra seat. just did a 2,500 mile trip and never had a problem with the seat. the bike broke but the seat worked great.
What is the model number of your Hammock Seat? Is it #91583-99? If so, I just went to HD's web site and they say it will fit my '08 and it will move you down 1" from the stock seat. If that's true, I want the one you got. :-)
