Hello all. A little unusual, but I want to see what the market might be for a seat I just bought before I decide to keep and ride or just sell.
I just got my Russell Day Long hand made seat last week after an 8 week build from RDL. For a 2009 (+) FLHTCU Ultra. Dual seat, all leather, black, heated front and rear, RDL backrest, rain cover. Paid $1,480.
Less than 30 miles on seat. Finances making me decide if need to sell before even breaking in.
If I can get close to the price paid, minimum $1200, I will likely sell. Please let me know if you are interested.
Ouch! Those heaters and backrest sure do add $ fast, don't they? You might consider posting some numbers about yourself, so any potential buyers can determine if your build is close to what they need, or if it would have to go back to Russell for a refit.
Good idea Mike. I am 5'11" weight 185. Wife is 5'6", 115 lbs. Seat to for those within a few inches. Pounds not matter much unless exceed 275, when additional spring support should be considered.
PS, bike depicted in signature does NOT have the RDL seat. Shown stock from early last spring. I have pics of the seat on my phone that can be sent via text if your'e interested.
