TFI fueler has four pots you adjust (little screwdriver) to set your A/F ratio on HD Touring 2008-09 Plug & Play with instructions.
part # 950141252 Description FI-125ST
No downloads/laptops/maps needed
That's a good unit if you don't need all the bells, whistles, different maps and computer uploads. I wanted a TTS for a long time but due to cash shortages I bought the older TFI just like you are selling there. I've had it for about 5 months or so and I love the way the bike runs. A bit more pep in all RPMs and much cooler.
That's a good deal at $100. They sell with a veterans discount at $200, around $250 retail. The thing I like about mine is I just set it and forget it. If you have any descrepancies on the various suggested settings in the instructions for stock, stage 1 etc, you can experiment with it and or call Doebeck on the phone. They ain't much on email but answer the phone every time. I set mine to the suggested settings and never had an issue, ran great.
I would like first dibs on this. couple of questions. do you leave this plugged in? do you have the instruction manual? will this work with my 09 road king? I am paypal ready once i receive your information. thanks Dan

Yes it stays under the seat, it's a bit smaller than the PC boxes. However it is not a piggyback like the PC's. It does not intercept the cable going to the ECM. It cannot tune ignition timing etc like the flash uploads such as TTS etc, or the ECM replacements like Thundermax. However the newer model GEN4 does have some things in Air/Fuel testing that the earlier models do not. I am not familar with the newer models. Mine is the early POTS model like the OP is selling.
Rather it (the box) manipulates the data going directly to the fuel injectors. A cable connects it with the injectors. In fact it comes with it's own injector plug replacements that hook in series with the removed old plugs. It also has two O2 sensor bypass plugs. The front 02 bypass goes at the cable split at the voltage regulator and the rear under the seat.
Yes it does have a small instruction manual. It's not real complicated. I recommend removing the tank for the install although some have done it with the tank on. It's just harder to tie the cable up tight and get to the injectors with the tank on.
They have models for each version of Harleys, go to their website to compare the number etc. The OP says it will work with 09.
On models with heat management shutdown it denotes which plug to put on the front cylinder injector. Again the guys at Doebeck will answer any questions over the phone.
so I guess then, what this does is keep the bike from running too lean with a stage 1 upgrade of pipes and breather? I see you have the master tune on your 09. Have you noticed a big enough difference to support the heafty price??

I think your question is for the OP so I will let that go for him. However I did want to say that basically you are correct in that this Doebeck TFI is to correct stage 1 leaness. However my bike does have a bit more pep in all the rpms. I can definitely feel the difference than before. The engine just runs stronger, but yet settled down more at an idle. No I don't work for Doebeck, but I am very pleased with the product.
A big Thank You to R-W-B for all the explanations.. your spot on and I don't think I could have said all that. The TFI was the perfect solution (lean mix)for my stage 1 and extremely user friendly in terms of DIY. Prior to purchase after all I have read, a TTS Mastertune is the "cadillac" so to say; however I did not want to purchase a laptop and learn how to "tune" so early in the game. Thanks to Dobeck for the TFI and they claim to also handle mild cams. Nice. As it turns out my local mechanic is a Mastertune Pro !! also nice So I added this to my "winter special" upgrade. The difference is seen in the ability to fine tune the many parameters of the ECM(TTS) vs adding fuel at various rpms.(TFI) The difference I feel has to be spread across the whole package.. Bump in cubes, compression, HP/TRQ rpms (cam) & Tuner. Yes the TFI will work on '09 RK.
