I got this "update cd" for the stick radio from a member here. I promised him that I would pass it along to another member who needs it. So here it is.
Totally free of charge to the first person contact me with your shipping info.
I'm sending it to Srowe tomorrow. Whoever needs it next, contact Srowe. He will pass it along when he's done updating.
Thanks.
Hey guys the sharing of the CD is GREAT and all, but you can go to this HD site and get a pdf file with instructions to verify if you need an update. If you do, you can download the files and create a CD. Here is the link. http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US...bmLocale=en_US
Lastnight when I updated my software I did not see the second download on the bottom of the page. But no big deal for me, since I do not own an ipod, or an i-anything..
FYI don't get bogged down with the file format mumbo jumbo in the instructions... just use your burner software to create a data CD, and you are good to go.
Tried to download from Harley site...my radio doesn't recognize my disc...would appreciate if you could send what you have to me. Will glady forward on once updated.
You have to burn the disk at an unreasonably slow speed to get it to work reliably. Plenty of freeware apps out there that will allow you to throttle down the burn speed to where it needs to be. ImgBurn works well.
