Default Air up around tank

Anyone seem to think the air flow under fairing and up the tank to my chest/face can be better. I ride with it and its not terrible but I had fangs that mount on side of forks on my Road King and thought it had better air flow with those fangs. (they are a bit to get used to look) That dish thing under triple tree was also out there but unsure if it will fit 2014. A tank lift help ? So just asking if anyone is trying anything that they think helps out the wind issue a bit.

I fitted the 1 1/2 inch tank lifts from DK Custom, certainly stopped the swirling draught under my visor, actually I don't use the helmet visor much now I've fitted the lifts, lifted the rear end 3/8 inch,
I use the clear plastic deflectors in the summer to direct more cool air , if needed, it don't get too hot in the UK, lol

It keeps the engine a tad cooler too, and easy to clean the rocker covers ,

I have also gone with the tank lift by DK. I had the 2" until I changed to the LA Choppers twin Peaks. Then had to go down to 1.5" so bars would not hit. It does help some with the wind, but really love that you can see more of the rocker boxes, and get your hand in to clean. Once you put the front tank lifts, along with the rear they sell as a kit, you look and can see the flow line of the Ultra they way HD should have designed it to start with.

I have the EGlidegoodies fork mount wind deflectors, but do not ride with them on until it is cooler as it seemed to deflect too much air, and engine temps were rising. Or at least it felt like it. More engine heat for both rider and passenger.

The last thing we did was put a vent in one of our wind shields to reduce the back draft, but again I only put that shield on in the fall for cold weather riding. Just did not like the look. Of coarse you have the 14 Tri Glide so that will not be a good option. You already have the vent.

I have the air deflectors and deflector under the headlight....leave them on all year-round. Deflects cold and hot air.

Default Soft Lowers Reduce Buffeting

You could also take a look at the Desert Dawgs soft lowers. There's no messing around with installation and they can be taken on/off whenever in seconds: http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/soft...king-dressers/

I had a problem with the air coming up from around the tank too. I put on the tank lift kit (with deluxe option) and it not only stopped the air coming up from under the tank, but also shows off the top of the cylinders.

This is really good information.
I was wondering about how to deflect that air flow because, on my '11 TG, it gets really strong flow.
I think I need to order that tank lift kit.
Which kit is the more effective, 1 1/2 or 2 inch lift?

I have tried both as stated above. I liked the extra rocker box access with the 2" but as far as riding there is not that much improvement by the extra half inch. Just be sure to read their measurement methods for ensuring you do not have contact with handle bars. I checked before ordering the 2" and was just barley clear, then when I changed to the LA Choppers it was too high and would have contacted tank so went to the 1 1/2"

I sit back and enjoy the feeling of wind in my face, knowing that I'm on a motorcycle, not in a car. For what we paid for both trikes we could have bought 6 or 7 Toyotas, rolled up the windows and had no air in the face at all.

RIDE IT, ENJOY IT. It is noisy, bumpy, vibrates, and hurts your butt, It is a Harley, it is supposed to be that way.
