Trailering my trike
Ok guys I am going to sturgis in a couple of weeks with a friend. we are taking his rv . Any hints or suggestions for trailering and tieing the bike down..Thanks
With my 11 Tri i run a strap though the front wheel.. And one strap on each side of the tie-down loops under the rear axel.
As stated above, I strap through the front wheel forward into a wheel chock, Then through the rear wheels with axle straps and cross tie down straps pulling rearward so back end can not jump left or right. I also strap to the tie down loops pulling forward.
I just sold my Aluma MC10 trailer and bought a Aluma TK1 trailer. I won't be loading it or trying it until next week, but it has tie down hooks for securing around rear axle plus hooks toward the front of the trike.
I am thinking I will ratchet it onto the trailer about like my Ultra, except I will be using hooks on back axle as part of equation.

I have been using the Biker Bar trailering system for 6 years now, both with my RGC CVO and now with my RGC Trike.
Over 15K miles towing (grand kids on both coast) and never one issue
No straps, 3 minutes to loan and 3 minutes to unload

I would not trailer without it, any other way is just too much work

As you know steel trailers down here don't last long. My Aluma MC10 was a 2014 but this Aluma TK is built much heavier and looks better, but it only weighs a little more.
I found a new 2016 at Tropic Trailer (Ft. Myers) and they came off the "sticker" price a little bit. Sold my 2014 on Craig's List. I did a search and couldn't find a used one within a couple hundred miles. I pulled the other one around 3,000 miles and never knew it was back there, they pull really good with 14" wheels and torsion axles.
