Default Ahh, that trike feeling...

...when you go to park inline at a bike event, you pull up to an open spot not quite big enough for two bikes, swing left as you pop it into neutral and hit the R button, hit it again just after coming to a halt, get her rolling back at the right angle centered between the two flanking bikes using only your mirrors, release and hit the kill switch just before coming to a stop in the spot, 3" from the curb! Off, tap into first or put on the parking brake, and you and the wife hop off and walk away as if you've done it that way for years!

Then all the dudes that were watching you just kind of turn and walk away disappointed. I love ruining their day like that. You all know what they were thinking.

Only once did one say "We was wondering if you could make it or not. Smooth."

I do it the other way, I nose in to the curb... And when i leave just put it in reverse and back out...That gets their attention also... Besides if i tried to back in 'Lets just say it wouldn't be pretty...

And it doesn't lean when you put the kick stand down.

They're all just waiting to see if you put your foot down when you stop.
Don't ask me how I know.

i normally back straight in. the only thing you have to watch is your mufflers when backing to a curb.

Yeah, you know, it's probably not fair. I know the first dozen or so times I tried backing up it wasn't very pretty. But heck, after three years of backing into the MC parking at work it's kind of second nature.

We have a pretty cool setup there, parking blocks outline the MC parking at work so cars can't take the spots, room for about a dozen or so bikes, but the openings are only about 5" wider than the rear track on the trike. It's just beyond the handicap spots. It's nice that our site VP and three of the five directors ride!

Our mc parking is up close to the office. I still prefer to park way out and walk. It's something I need to do more of and sadly don't as I once did prior to my knee surgery.

Default Fart ?

Much easier to raise up and pass gas on a trike. No worries about lane drifting ..............
