It will take a bit of getting used to...if you've ridden an ATV, it should be second nature. If not, spend some time in a big empty parking lot getting to know what it can do, and not do.
One thing you will notice, the front brakes cannot be used as much on the Tri-Glide as a 2 wheeler.
Sounds like you like the twisties, surprisingly, trail-braking is effective with the TG.
