Default Trike front wheel towing

Unfortunately, my SUV is not powerful enough to pull my Tri Glide on a trailer. Therefore, I am thinking about purchasing a front wheel towing system (tow bar) that would allow me to pull the trike. I don't know if this is as good as the vendor describes it. Can someone who has used this method of pulling give some advices about the good/bad of doing it this way. Thank you for your time.

If you can pull the trike, you can pull a light trailer, it would be easier to back a trailer than backing with a flat towed trike.

That said, if you choose this route, I have questions.

1. who is this vendor and could we get a link to the product.
2. will it lift the front wheel or are you thinking a flat tow on all 3 wheels.
3. how far are you looking to tow, short trips, maybe, long trip, maybe not.

How is an SUV not rated to pull a small trailer with a TG on it?

.....ok, this might be a good one....in 1968....yeah fifty years ago....i worked at a chrysler plymouth dealer in sacramento, ca....i was hired there as a lot boy........one of my duties was to ride a kick start harley davidson servi car .......this motorcycle had a hitch that was permanently mounted on the front axle...and was held in the up position....i used to deliver customer vehicles by attaching a temporary clasp on the back bumper of the customer car...then lower the hitch....and off i went....yes there was even a safely chain in case....and it worked....i lost one coupling...but not the bike.......if this can be had in today's market..i would highly recommend it today.......but it should have a semi quick release to take the hitch off the motorcycle.....and would work good on a trailer hitch receiver ...but as i often say.........why tow the trike in the first place....just ride it......

I’d be worried about hitting a pot hole and have the trike pop into gear or dragging the rear end down the road because there ain’t much clearance between the pipes and the road. Even with a lift kit the clearance ain’t that much.

If your SUV won't pull it on a small trailer...I don't see it doing much better flat towing.

What kind of wimpy SUV won't pull a trike on a trailer.

Get a bigger SUV

trailer and bigger truck. If you did try this with a mount that raises the front wheel off the ground i'm afraid you wouldn't have any mufflers left when you got to where you were going. Also popping into gear and i don't think you are suppose to spin the transmission without the engine running for very long This just has bad ju-ju written all over it.

Seriously, I have had my TG drag the rear loading onto a utility 5x10 trailer I wouldn't try to tow it with the front lifted. Bye the time you get a trailer large enough for the TG you will be at least border line on the smaller SUVs . I would want 2000# or greater tow capacity. If you have a RAV4, CRV type of vehicle you might want to consider a larger tow vehicle.
