Question on upgrading equipment on a 2017 Tri Glide
Looking at upgrading the headlight, the audio package and getting an intercom.
On the headlight, been quoted a price around $800 to go to the upgraded headlight. (the Daymaker?). I'm just not crazy about the OEM headlight distribution on an unlit highway at night at highway speeds. Is there an advantage to staying with the HD brand on this?
On the intercom and audio upgrade, again stay with HD or better off to go to another brand? Any recommendations?
Many thanks in advance for your thoughts on this.
I have a '13 CVO Ultra and a '18 Tri-Glide and its JMHO, both headlights are at least "adequate" for night driving (which I avoid if at all possible) and when I use my audio system, I use my helmet with the headset and I find it "adequate" also.
I have a hard time tossing OEM parts unless the "upgrade" is really worth the $ and I will get full usage out of it but we're all different and have different priorities and it comes down to what we're willing and able to put out the cash in order to obtain.
if you mean CB radio, I’d go with HD, made to work together. I have the CB modual and it works fine

For lighting up the road better, you may want to consider the Stealth LED Driving Lights. They are a supplement to your existing LED headlight and do a very nice job at lighting up an unlit highway at night. They also are good for helping you be seen better during the day. Nice thing is the cost will come in at less than $100.
I ride a fair amount at night, at highway speeds in rural areas (read lots of critters). Since these LED's can be mounted low and wide, they do a great job of lighting up the road and the sides, but Importantly, do not blind oncoming traffic like a brighter headlight has a tendency to do.
Lots of photo's at the link above.
Regarding the intercom, as noted, you already have one.
