Default Help with No Start Problem

My friend has a 2012 Tri-Glide and recently added the eBay HD Security Sirens siren.

Since he he plugged it in (as instructed) his bike will start, but immediately shut off and his speedo shows “EIP”

He he tried removing it, cycling the ignition and pulling the main fuse, but it still shuts off.

From what hat I can decipher, the EIP code is a bank sensor code that shunts the fuel or spark so the bike shuts down if it tips over.

Im guessing the trike have the same electronics and it probably has one.

Any my suggestions on what to check?

it was running fine prior to installing the siren.

BTW, I have one on my bike, and it works fine.

Yes the Trike does have a sensor. it is located just behind the battery box. It might be a bit hard to get to, but it is there.
Was the security system enabled before the siren install? Could be something was unplugged while the install of the siren.
Have you cleared the code after you removed the siren?
EIP is the tip sensor code that you can erase on regular bikes by cycling the ignition as you have tried. But you might have to use the clear through he speedo. when the code comes up in reading the codes press and hold the button on the speedo for more than 5 seconds, it should say clear.

Just guessing here.

No new news, other than what we thought was EIP, is actually tIP, this points to the BAS. He pulled it, and is taking it to the dealer to test.

Does anyone think plugging the aftermarket siren in could have caused this?

I still think it has to be something simple, like a wire is grounding out, or something got unplugged.

He has the BAS out and will shake to to see if the ball bearing got stuck in ther, making the bike think its tipped.

Any other suggestions?

There's a metric buttload of wiring down there under the seat and the side covers, make sure nothing got broken, pinched or came unplugged. Did you mechanically agitate the sensor? You're allowed one reasonable whack

In a tri Glide the Bank Angle sensor is a separate piece, not built into the TSSM. After the fist time he removed it an replugged it in, it still didn’t work. Removed the BAS again and shook it to make the the ball bearing in the wasn’t stuck, re installed it and all is good now.

It starts and runs!!!
