You will not regret buying a Freedom windshield. Contact them, give them your information and they will let you know what you need. Their customer service is excellent. I have bought two and if I ever need another, this is where I will go.
I’ve been a fan of Freedom Shields since 2012. First on my 2012 Limited (120,000km) and then on my 2018 Tri-Glide (165,000km). Never a problem. I use two different heights for the Tri depending on season and whether local riding or touring.
Not familiar with the tripple tree damper….. anyone have a photo or part number?
Are you riding with the fairing vent open? You should be. Helps quite a bit IMHO.
I can't comment on a Freedom shield for your bike as mine is a Freewheeler. I can tell you its a top notch product, their service and communication is great. They ARE made to order (no, they can't make a custom size, I asked) so there is a little lead time depending on their order backlog. Mine took about two weeks, but they were pretty busy.
Best batwing shield I ever had was the 10" Harley wind splitter. But you have to be able to look at least slightly over it, and learn to ignore the optical distortion at the top 2". I had one on my lasts 2 batwing bikes. I actually trimmed 3/8" off the top edge, and just reducing it that much got me looking over it just right. I learned to ignore the distortion. That think was awesome.
Also, a lot of buffeting is coming from below. So windshields are only gonna go so far in eliminating it. Have you looked at the DK customs wind deflector wings?

I'm 5'7" and am riding with a 10" Freedom shield on my 2026 SG3; works great for me. Not sure what size you will need on a 2024 since the fairing is different, On my 2022 Triglide, I used a LRS and was very happy with that one also. Not sure if that helps or adds more confusion.

I appreciate the feedback. It is good to hear you liked them both. Makes it harder to decide, but nice to know either way I go, I shouldn't be disappointed.
There is not a close able vent on the 2024 Tri glide unfortunately.
