Guessing that is why they took away the ability to close the vent. Yes it has a vent, but does not close.

I totally misread your post. Thought you were asking if it was like the touring bikes and could open/close. Attention to details was lacking on my part.

I bought a 14" touring width with light tint last year and very pleased with it. Stopped a lot of buffering and I wear a half helmet

Any other recommendations? Klock Werks? Clearview? LRS? Harley WindSplitter? Or Harley stock-ish but shorter?

I've looked at answers on here and seems we are all pretty tossed.

Really want it for a couple reasons: 1) Current windshield is center of my eyes. 2) Maybe hear the audio better.(Just did audio upgrade and haven't ridden since). Being 5'6" if that helps make a difference.

Thank you in advance all!
I would suggest go with the shorter of the two, that way your not trying to stretch your neck to see over the windscreen. If you haven't called Freedom shields do so Monday, they are more than helpful.
I'm calling tomorrow to order my third Freedom Shield, recurve touring model, if you're a Veteran or return customer they give a 10% discount IIRC.
And no I'm not employed by Freedom Shields

Didn't realize your post was 20 days old, anyway hope you found a new shield.

I did go with the shorter one. It came the day I left for a month long trip. So it is sitting in my garage waiting for me to return. So didn't even get to enjoy it. Some day. Sigh!

I bought the shorter one for my 2020. I bought it and they delivered it and it snowed and snowed and froze. I rode it a couple of days ago and really like it. Ken

My 2007 Electra glide has 9", I think. Touring maybe helps hear the stereo. Can barely see the curve. Stock is better in rain

Yes, I see over it with no problem. I'm 5'7" and it works great for me. I bought it used, so I'm not really sure if its 9" or 10" but it's whatever the stock size Freedom makes
