As I've stated before, my dealer Black Widow HD is great to work with. The trunk lock failed last Friday while returning home from a great detail job. Called my dealers service manager John and made arrangements to have the Trike picked up on Wednesday. John also addvised me that other parts he had ordered to repair my lower fairing doors and a defective oil temp guage had arrived.
Black Widow picked the bike up on Wednesday morning as promised and I arranged for my wife to drive me up to pick the bike up this morning. BTW, the dealer is located about 40 miles away. John called me this morning before the shop opened. He advised me that after the shop foreman Brian K, who is the only person that works on our Trike had found a problem after his road test.
The reverse motor sounded weak and it failed a test that Brian performed. John wanted to keep the Trike, order a new reverse motor and install it while it was still at the shop. John advised me that the reverse motor cost is over $1300.00 and that kinda surprised me.
Just wanted to let you guys know that there still are some good dealers out there with great service personnel that find and fix problems. If you are ever in need of service in the Port Charlotte area of Florida keep Black Widow HD in mind. John or Todd in service will see that you are well taken care of.

It's always good to know where the really good dealers are located thru out the country when your traveling, thanks!!!
Sounds like your dealer is a keeper. I won't replace the reverse motor on mine if it would ever take a crap, I'll remove it and go with a transmission reverse.

Mike,
My thoughts exactly, but we have ESP for another 6 years. The dealer performed all the mods on my Trike for a reason, although we are quite capable of doing it ourselves. Unless one of the aftermarket parts fails and I have to replace it, the bike is covered. If asked, John will say what tuner?
Buddy, sounds like an excellent dealer to keep in mind! I'll be retiring to the Sarasota area. Do you know anything about Rossiter's service in Sarasota?
Wow that seems expensive for a reverse motor. When I was having my walk thru with the trike yesterday the service manager told me that the reverse motor was a GM starter motor. I don't know how true it is.
But bottom line is that sounds like a great dealership going above just what was asked for them to do. Most of them barely do what you ask them to do and nothing more.

Boom,
Sorry No, never been there. Depending upon where you are going to be in Sarasota it's not that long a ride to BW. When you get down here, we'll have to get together, takes me about 1 1/2 hours to run from here to the Bradenton Sarasota area. Maybe we could meet at BW and I'll introduce you to the folks that take care of me there.
