Well I got a big suprise today.
The wifes reverse went out awhile back and it was out of warrenty, I figured I would just put a Champion in. Other things came up and I didnt get to it.
Anyhow I decided to call Customer Service and tell them about it because I wanted on record that these are coming apart. The guy listened ,gave me a referance number, said they had heard of some problems but mostly with moisture or low voltage (duh??,motor has to be running to work reverse) and that they had an updated motor. He suggested that I see my service manager and give him the reference number. OK, I figure what the heck , Ill take the motor and show the SM which I did.
The SM said he hadnt heard of them coming apart(of course) but would I leave it and he would do some checking. I said OK.
Well over two weeks later I was at the dealer getting a part and was told I needed to see the SM about my reverse motor, heck I had forgot about it.
So I go back to service the SM gives me a new motor, I say I didnt order this. He tells me the Motor Company sent it , no charge, and would I want it installed. I told him no that it was an easy job I would do it. I thanked him and left.
Go figure huh.

I wonder if the MoFoCo is starting to wise up to their evil ways, sure sounds like they took care of you the way they should have.

That is the way HD treated their customers in the past.

It was too strange, at no time did I say I wanted a new motor or that they should take care of it. I just wanted it on record. Maybe I spend too much money there.

Ya know, something must be in the water ! Thursday the local HOG chapter had their monthly dinner and our new store manager was also present. He said he wants to keep abreast of what is going on with all his customers .
Got to discussing TriGlides, and had a few interesting tidbits of info. First he endorses trailer hitches on trikes. He said the (local) parent company says the same, it is a problem with just a couple managers own ideas. He said also MoCo is doing some talk of the '14 trike having a water cooled head. But right now it is just some talk from up-stairs.
He said MoCo is interested, and wants to know from everyone what their most problems are from. So I also loaded him down about reverse problems, heat, & being cheap on the extras they don't offer for the money ! He was amazed at my blue chrome horn cover. Kind of a nice color, but my bike is red !
Also found out about a few extras the last Mgr. was to be offering the customers that never happened.
GO FIGURE !!!
I don't know what is in the water, but.........

Maybe HD is starting to realize they have a real PR problem, when you take a good look around they do have quite a few issues with a lot of warranty claims and ticked customers.

Ya know when the bean counters start running a company, there is always PR problems ! But maybe someone realized they need to sell machines to have warranty problems ! Otherwise the PR problems cure themselves !
Tell your Dad he was in Jackson Hole & out in time to miss the fire that I went past when it was about 2 acres this past Saturday. It is now another major fire ! It was almost 45min before the fire dept. made a run through town to the fire !
When I left town, about an hour after I first passed the fire, it had already spread to about 200 acres ! Now the major Horsetthief forest fire !
Have you looked at the CSC trikes for that GW platform ??

I hope the dry areas start getting some rain so the fire danger is lowered. I looked at pretty much all the trike kits and settled on Hannigan, I like the way they look and the wider stance.
