Ya know when the bean counters start running a company, there is always PR problems ! But maybe someone realized they need to sell machines to have warranty problems ! Otherwise the PR problems cure themselves !
Tell your Dad he was in Jackson Hole & out in time to miss the fire that I went past when it was about 2 acres this past Saturday. It is now another major fire ! It was almost 45min before the fire dept. made a run through town to the fire !
When I left town, about an hour after I first passed the fire, it had already spread to about 200 acres ! Now the major Horsetthief forest fire !
Have you looked at the CSC trikes for that GW platform ??
I'm sure glad I missed the fire. It sure can consume the forest quickly.

The real stupid part is the time it took a fire dept. to respond ! When I went by the start, It wasn't very big at all. and about 1/4 mile off the highway across a field. It was only about a 3/4 mile from the junction coming off Hoback at the edge of town.
But hills were close & it took off fast ! Glad you got to see it while it was still green !

I certainly had a GREAT time out there. To bad we didn't hook up while I was out there.
I have a question about jacking up the right side of the trike to get to the started to do the loctite it. I have been reading to not jack the bike up by the frame or the axle. I'm only looking at lifting the right side enough to get the tire off and take the screws out that hold the starter together (one at a time) and get them out to put on the loctite. Is this ok to do by the axle or the frame or how?

You may be able to use the jack in the area where there is a chain link welded to the bottom of the axle, this the area they recommend for tying it down so I would imagine it would work. Biggest thing is be safe, use a jack stand just in case something would slip while your working under it.
Butch50, I use a MC jack under the mid frame and a secound jack under the rear frame or tie down point as M3 said . The rear is just a bit heavier than the front with mid jack as far back as you can get it so not much weight is on rear jack then. Be sure to loosen lug nuts befor you raise it. Also with 1 lug bolt/nut in 12oclock position tire may be easier to remove. As M3 said, be safe

Thanks for the advice guys. I don't have a MC jack but I do have a floor jack and many other jacks. I also have 6 ton jack stands, do you think that is enough for the bike.
Do they use studs or are lugs bolt throughs to hold the wheels on? I wouldn't think the wheels and tires on this are very heavy.
I'll be as safe as I can. I just installed 4 new 19.5 tires and wheels (weighed about 125# each needless to say heavy) on my F350 with a 10'2" camper mounted on it and weighs around 11500# total so I do know to be careful.
Thanks again, I think this well be either todays project or tomorrows. When you are retired you don't have to rush into these things ya know, have to think them over first.

You should be able to get it done with what you have on hand, the lugs are just that, lug nuts. Make sure you torque them to 95 - 100 ft/lbs and then recheck torque after 500 miles.

EVERYONE should take or make that luxury !! That way they might make it to a happy retirement !
Enjoy, work & ride safe !
