I am about due for my 10,000 mile service at the dealer.
I have installed 3 1/2 jackpot mufflers and the billet air cleaner from Fuel Moto to my 2112 Trike. I have also installed the tune from Fuel Moto to my trike using the power vision tuner that bought.
The question is should I load my stock tune back into the trike before taking in into the dealer? I have about 1 year to go on my warrenty yet or have I already voided it with the a/c and mufflers?
Does your dealer sell tuners? Most do and don't care about what tune is in the ECM unless your in for a warranty repair that involves the ECM. Mufflers and A/C kits won't void the warranty unless they can prove it caused the failure.

I agree, generally it does not make a difference on service. However, it is dealer dependent...if they want to, they can enter into the system that mods have been made that preclude any future drivetrain warranty work. We have one dealer in our area that does that.
Oh, and removing the tuner would not be enough for them...would also have to put stock A/C and pipes back on...otherwise they ding that VIN.
Thanks for the info. I guess I will leave things alone as the Trike runs great at it is set up and take my my Trike to the dealer and hope for the best of it.

If you have a good relationship with your dealer he should not want to drop a dime on you.
As to the relationship with the local dealer goes it kind of depends on which direction the wind is blowing on the day you are there. They also have a big turn over of help I think.

lol, I know what you mean. One of our local dealers has been here around 12 years, in that time they have had well over 20 service managers. I quit counting 3-4 years ago when I stopped using them for warranty work.

You haven't voided your warranty. It's against the law for anyone to say you can only use my parts, or your warranty is voided.
