Battery Replacement

Has anyone replaced their battery Yet? My bike is a 09 and don`t want to get stuck somewhere with it because of a dead battery. Has anybody had experience with Gel batteries?

I just replaced mine, just to be safe. I have an 09 also.

I had an '08, traded in in 2012 with the original battery. I still have an '06 Road King with the original battery.

Yeah, I have found over the years that replacement batteries do not last as long as the originals whether it be a bike or a car. My wife used to have a Dyna Low Rider and I replaced the battery after eight years, makes you wonder.

Glass Mat batteries are the best I have for all the rough service in motorcycles.

I do not use a battery tender (ride year-round) and generally get 4-6 years out of the OEM batteries.

I have replaced two batteries in the last year on other bikes with one of these-

Clicky

They are impervious to water and bumping around, are much smaller with more CCA, and have a 3 year warranty. When my TG needs a battery, it will get one of these.
