Hand Mic for Cb Radio

I don't have a cb or a hand mike so I can't try this idea of mine. Would it work without pushing the PTT button if the VOX is enabled and you just use the switch on the hand mic? Maybe someone has already tried this, just a suggestion to try.

Maybe HD will come up with a download to the radio that would allow the hand mic to work, hope so anyway.
