Question Side Bags Inner Fender

Not sure what they're called but HD do a bag that mounts on the bodywork, below either side of the passenger seat,

Are they leather or plastic ?

Are they waterproof ?

Are they easy to fit ?

And lastly do you find them useful ?

OH! just thought of one more , what sort of stuff do you carry in them ?

Thanks , Graham

They are leather covered I think.
Not really waterproof but have been in several rain events and nothing inside got wet.
If you are okay with drilling holes in your trike easy to install, Make sure they are straight when you install them.
Sun tan lotion, hair brush, water bottle, gum, cell phone, extra head set. Any thing you want to get easily or get while riding.
My wife loves them and yes they are useful. Are they worth $420????

I agree. Just got back from Canada and ran into a 20 minute typhoon - everything in them got wet. Under normal rain, I don't think you'd have a problem.

I have no problem drilling holes in the body - there are already plenty of holes in it.

The first set my dealer installed were crooked - I believe the instructions were wrong. Installed another set on my 2014 and did it right - probably because of all the screaming I did about the first time on the 2012.

Extra water bottle, sunscreen, snack, disk locks(2), note pad and gas log, chapstick, ear plugs, Subway sandwich, microfiber towel - not all the above at the same time.

Last but not least - paint protector in that area.

Leather but the back is a plastic cardboard type material.

Very very convenient for me. Even more convenient then the cubby holes in the lower fairing were which are gone now.

Yes, I'd like to see a little less cost - maybe $200.

HD mini-saddlebags....

Are they useful, hell yes! Are they worth it, hell yes! Make sure if you're installing them, that they don't end up crooked. I had local HD dealer install mine.

Any Harley - ridiculously expensive?? you bet

$800 to add the stock CB unit back onto the TG - ridiculously expensive?? you bet

Your point is???

I see all kinds of leather goods - saddlebags, chaps, jackets, crotch coolers, gloves, gun holsters that I think are ridiculously expensive but it is what it is. The great thing is we don't have to buy any of them.

We bought our 14 TG used and they were already on the bike...we didn't think we would like them and wouldn't have installed them if we had bought the TG new....fast forward....oh heck yeah. They are super handy...very nice accessory. Nothing has gotten wet inside yet, but we haven't been in a very heavy storm...yet!

As for what we keep in them....wife has one and I have one..she keeps her sunglasses, hair do dads, cup holder, little things she doesn't want to chase around in the trunk.
Me, I keep mug holders, night glasses, micro fiber cloths, again, little things...

We like them, glad they were installed when we bought the TG...

Ok, Thanks guys, Ill ring the dealer tomorrow and see what the cost is,

I think someone on here may have put them on with Velcro (hook and loop stuff } but I'm not sure, saves drilling holes, does any one know about that or was I dreaming it, ?

Yes it was seethroughbraz.com & they work well. They also have a much less expensive set of bags that I just got a month ago that I'm using & really like those. They're really nice people to work with.
