Last August I traded my 2015 TriGlide in for a 2024 RG3. It is an understatement to say the sound system is awful. That said, I embarked on a mission to put better sound on it. I originally was simply going to upgrade to the Fosgate speakers Harley sells. I found out pretty quick that would be a disappointment. A friend of mine has a Soundz 4 speaker plus Amp system and it is night and day better than Fosgate.
My dilemma was putting lowers on in order to get a 4 speaker system. I really like the new style lower fairings. I called H-D of Scottsdale and ordered lowers and brackets and the engine guard to fit. We thought we had all the parts that were needed for the install. About 5 weeks later the kit we ordered arrived and I scheduled installation.
We found out that what was ordered would not fit. At that point I was told the only way to add lowers was to put Rushmore style lowers on. The major issues were the fairing support brackets and the engine guard being able to attach the steering damper. Between the parts and service departments they were able to find a Stealth fairing support and determined that a Street Glide Limited engine guard would work. They ordered the new parts needed and kept my trike for a week. I now have a Rushmore style Sharknose fairing with new style lower fairings on a 24 RG3. Gorrilla at Soundz says he had not seen this done yet and he is at bike rally's all over the country. This was a first for H-D of Scottsdale.
