Purge Oil Change
After the cam tensioner work last week and finding a broken shoe I did a full purge oil change today. Drained the oil tank, filled it with new oil followed by ten pumps of the starter to get clean oil to the filter then changed the filter. Disconnected return line to oil tank and pumped the starter until new oil ran out the disconnect return oil line. Only problem I had was the chrome return tubing from the cam case to the oil tank was a little misaligned.....after a few FUs I got it in. It feels good seeing the container of crap oil that never gets changed by drain and fill oil changes.
Never did this before but You Tube walked me through.
I put the old oil through a tube strainer and found no debris. Hopefully none is hiding in the motor, I might be ok
