FXDL 2002 display output engine temperature sensor
Is it possible to readout the engine temperature sensor output and display it on a standard temperature gauge?
I was thinking to install an engine temperature sensor in my FXDL 2002 (she doesn't have one) and connect the wiringing to a standard temperature gauge. So i can read the engine temperature of my FXDL. Is this possible without modifications, or do I need to do anything extra?
My situation is this: I have a 2002 Dyna FXDL with a carburetor and no temperature gauge. I find it important to know the temperature of my FXDL engine while driving.
The HD digital dipstick doesn't have the best reputation, so it was out of the question. Unfortunately, JES custom Accents no longer makes them for a 2002 Dyna. And I recently discovered that there's a plug in my front cylinder head intended for an engine temperature sensor.
