I have just switched to Shell Rotella T-6 synthetic oil.
It is spec'd for wet clutches. Modest price for full synthetic and at all Walmart's for convenience.
Good enough for a 600 HP diesel engine. Good enough for a HD. For many years I used Valvoline 20-50 MC oil for $2.98 at Walmart. The Rotella is about a $1/qt. more.
The main reason for change is that Syn oil runs a little cooler and has less thermal break down than regular oil. Works for me.
