Can anyone provide info (personal experience) on headers and intake on an ‘03 VRSCA ?
Currently have stock Screaming Eagle.
I’ve looked at the 2 into 1 Toxic and Danmoto.
I know nothing about intakes on the VROD, I’m thinking only exhaust and skip the intake and fuel module.

Any change to the exhaust will require a new map or dyno-tune. A 2-1 is definitely best for performance on any Harley.
Didn’t realize I needed a new map for exhaust change only. It does make sense.
I suppose there is no way to change the map on a stock module??
Yes there is, you'll need a tuner from HD to gain access and then you can re-write the original map. There are also piggy-back modules that are available with most exhaust.
Would you say it's best to go with the remapping at an HD service or get the module that each exhaust manufacturer has?
I'm looking at changing just my end pipes for now with a Vance & Hines Widow Slip-ons ( and was wondering which way would be best.
What have other people around here gone to do?
I’d go with what I went with. LOL. I installed a power commander V . I’ve done that on 2 bikes now and am extremely pleased with the support from dyno jet and also the performance of the PCv.
True enough, but we bought a very high performance MC and are making expensive changes, if it's all about money I think we bought the wrong bike.
Not all about the money but at the same time, especially when starting out, you don't do all the changes at once.. so doing a trip to a dyno every time you change something can add up to a lot. But i can see your point as well.
In the meantime, i reached out to V&H about their FP3 Fuelpack and got a very dry short response of "we don't provide FP3 for your bike" which is a bit dissapointing given that they cover almost every other HD since 2007 onwards
