Obviously there is a reason, I assume? Anyone know why the vrod doesn't have a 6 speed tranny?

At interstate speeds, it seems like high rpms with the 5 speed.

 

no room in the cases the revo's sweet spot is 5k rpm

That and the V-rods top out at an average of 145mph in 5th (142 or 148, pick one). We don' need no stinkin' 6th gear. I was looking for another gear the first couple of months after we bought the D.

 

I would like another gear, you need a trap speed in excess of 150mph to get under 9sec on the 1/4 mile...

 

So, switch to a 30 tooth and add a spinner muffler. The blue bottle could help a tad also.
