I am trying to make a decision on whether to go with a Custom (Iron Horse or Big Dog) or a V Rod. I like the way the customs look but also want reliability and performance. I have ridden V Rods before and like the power but would I would actually like more. What can you do to the V-Rods to add power and what kind of HP numbers are we talking?
Also with Harley's 7 year warranty, does it make sense to buy from them and have them do all the work so that I do not void the warranty?
Anyone know where I can find a good site for V-Rods for sale?
It depends on what you want. The V-rod is designed to handle like a dream and you're never gonna get that with a Big Dog. Don't get me wrong, I love the looks of the Big Dog but I doubt that it handles like a stock bike and even with a 117 ci motor you're gonna beat it off the line with a V-rod. Just my opinion.
I would think that Ebay would have the best selection of any type of bike because of their size. I've seen some pretty good deals there and if you're careful you should have no problems.
