V Rod Handling
The DX has a long, heavy front end, is very low, and has a big, fat 240 rear tire. It handles like, well, like a drag bike.
The Sportster just didn't have the fit.
I put on the Sundowner seat, and the reduced reach handlebars on the DX.
The DX is a performance cruiser.
I will give up my DX when they pry it from the grip of my cold dead fingers.

Brendajm, I believe the D most likely is the bike H-D built just for you. They are getting a bit tricky to find. So far I own half of all the Ds I've ever seen at a dealership.
We have the Sundowner seats and an obviously not-stock-Vrod sissy bar. That being said, the stock 06 D seat is the best looking seat H-D ever made. The stock rider seat suited me just fine. It was the back seat choices in the D styling that came up short. We now have 2 1/2 seat sets for our bike.
